YBLA Impact Report

2024 - Q1

A Message from The Martins

John and Tammy Martin_YBLA Toastmasters_

Hello Sponsors, Donors, Grantors, & Funders!

We're proud to share some amazing highlights from our leaders during the first quarter of 2024. First, with our Jr. Ambassadors earning their Toastmasters certifications. They competed in regional showcases in Charlotte and Atlanta, culminating in the first YBLA Toastmasters Championship in Greenville, SC. Thanks to your support, all the top 20 finalists received college scholarships.

Our Sr. Ambassadors completed Senior Impact Projects, positively affecting 2,953 individuals nationwide. We selected 17 new Emerging Professionals for the BTP24 cohort. Recently, the group benefited from a weekend leadership retreat focusing on servant leadership principles.

Our YoPros (Young Professionals) are gearing up to travel to Los Angeles, CA for the 2nd annual Global Leadership Forum. YoPros have already attended professional development workshops on networking with our sponsors at Bank of America, and a health and wellness panel followed by a pickleball session last month.

We're thrilled to announce that our Legacy Builders Gala will be in person this year, and we're excited to share that it is already sold out! However, your continued support through donations ensures that our vital work can flourish.

Finally, we extend a special thank you to Food Lion for replenishing the food pantry at Harding High School. Additionally, we express our gratitude to each of you for your commitment to our mission.

Building Leaders,

John & Tammy Martin, YBLA Founders
