YBLA Impact Report
2025 - Q1
A Message from The Martins

Greetings Everyone,
The Year of Impact is off to a fantastic start! To date, we have reached over 52,000 people through our MLK Day of Service, Sr. Ambassadors' Impact Projects, and YoPro community service activities. We are incredibly proud of our young leaders for developing their leadership skills while making a meaningful difference in the world—and we are grateful to our partners and supporters for being part of this mission.
We invite you to join us for our upcoming Days of Impact—April 5 in Atlanta and April 12 in Charlotte—as we come together to serve our local communities. Please click on the dates to sign up. Plus, don’t miss our Legacy Builders Gala on Saturday, April 26, where we will celebrate another incredible year of leadership and impact. Click here to donate or purchase tickets—we’d love to see you there!
Cheers to a great first quarter!

Toastmasters Showcase
The YBLA Toastmasters’ Showcase, themed Voices of Resilience: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future, brought together our Jr. Ambassadors from Charlotte and Atlanta for an inspiring display of leadership and public speaking. Each participant delivered powerful speeches, demonstrating confidence, storytelling, and a deep connection to the theme, honoring those who came before them while motivating future generations.
We are proud to congratulate Charlotte on being named this year’s top-performing city! Additionally, we celebrate our top three winners for their outstanding performances:
1st Place: Reginald DesRavines II
2nd Place: Joshua King
3rd Place: Leah Howard
Congratulations to all of our Jr. Ambassadors for their hard work and commitment to growth. Your voices are powerful, and we are excited to see how you continue to lead and inspire!
Sponsor Highlight

Thank you to our sponsor, Kroger, for your generous support during the MLK Day of Service! Your contributions helped us package meals for Feed the Hunger at Banneker High School and stock the SAFE Center with food, hygiene products, and winter clothing items, making a meaningful impact in our community.
