CAREER LAUNCH PROGRAM

Collegiate Emerging Professionals (CEP)

A hybrid career-readiness program that helps Black college students secure internships, strengthen professional skills and build meaningful networks.

WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

  • In-person, full-day Leadership Retreat in Charlotte​

  • Truist Emerging Leaders Certification, including virtual and in-person experiences​

  • Weekly virtual workshops focused on career readiness and professional development​

  • Opportunities to connect with peers, mentors, and corporate professionals​

  • Servant leadership and fundraising training for participants attending the Service Abroad experience*

​*Servant leadership and fundraising training are required only for participants who attend the Service Abroad experience.

CAREER READINESS

  • Resumé development and recruiter feedback

  • AI-powered mock interview practice

  • Internship search strategies and application support

  • Two-week Internship Application Sprint

PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING

  • Professional attire and workplace readiness

NO COST TO PARTICIPATE

The YBLA Collegiate Emerging Professionals Program is offered at no cost to selected participants.

​

While there are no attendance requirements, participants are encouraged to take full advantage of the program experiences. Participants may be eligible for more than $4,000 in cash incentives, gifts, and awards based on participation and the completion of designated deliverables and milestones.

Eligibility Requirements 

Black male or female

Sophomore, junior, or senior in college

3.0 Minimum Cumulative GPA

Be enrolled in any academic major

Attend a college or university in one of the following areas:

  • Charlotte Metro Ares

  • Greensboro, Winston-Salem or High Point (Triad Area)

  • Raleigh, Durham, or Chapel Hill (RTP area)

  • Upstate South Carolina, and Midlands regions.
