Happy New Year to all our amazing donors, supporters, parents, and partners!
We hope you had a joyful and restful holiday season! As we begin this new year, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your support of our first book, We Build Leaders, and for joining us at our Atlanta or Charlotte book launch events. Every purchase makes a difference, with all proceeds going directly back to YBLA to provide scholarships and resources for our young leaders.
We’re thrilled to embark on another year of impact as we continue to empower young people to lead and serve others. With your support, we’re aiming to surpass last year’s milestones and positively touch the lives of over 150,000 people in 2025.
To achieve this bold goal, we need your help! This year, we’re offering four unique opportunities for you to actively participate and share your impact alongside us. The first opportunity is on MLK Day, Monday, January 20. We invite you to take part by completing a community service project and sharing your experience with us. Finally, we’re excited to share even more great news—our YoPro program is expanding to Atlanta! After a highly successful year with our YoPros in Charlotte, we’re thrilled to elevate this impactful program by introducing it to young professionals in Atlanta.
Additionally, we’re proud to highlight the incredible leadership transformation of our Sr. Ambassador Jasmine Boyd, who spearheaded this year’s toy drive.Thanks to her efforts and your support, we collected toys for over 6000 children in title one schools.

YBLA Toy Drive
Jr. Ambassadors in Atlanta and Charlotte collected and donated THOUSANDS of toys for students in Title I schools. Our YBLA leaders worked with corporate sponsors, their community, and our supporters for toy drive collections.

YBLA Serves: Hurricane Relief
YBLA leaders, corporate sponsors, and volunteers served to support local and international hurricane relief. We collected clothing, shoes, food, and more for people in need for packing parties.

YBLA at ICUE in Cancun
In November 2024, Sr. Ambassadors from Atlanta and Charlotte traveled to Cancun, Mexico, to attend the International Conference on Urban Education (ICUE). They attended sessions on building communities and unlocking opportunities. Ambassadors presented their research findings on global issues that they are passionate about.
As always, we never miss an opportunity to serve! Our seven Sr. Ambassadors collected over 500 books, donated them to local children, and spent time reading to them.
