YBLA Impact Report
2025 - Q3
A Message from The Martins

Greetings YBLA Supporters!
As we reflect on the third quarter of 2025, we are grateful for the impact made possible through your continued support. This quarter, YBLA leaders put service into action both abroad and at home.
This quarter, Jr. Ambassadors and staff completed our Service Abroad trips to Belize, serving communities through meaningful acts of care while deepening their leadership and cultural understanding. In August, Sr. Ambassadors, families, staff, and community members came together for YBLA Days of Impact, serving students and families in Atlanta and Charlotte through school supply and pantry distributions.
We also celebrated a powerful milestone as Jr. Ambassadors officially transitioned into Sr. Ambassadors during our Blazer Ceremonies. This moment marked a deeper commitment to leadership, service, and personal growth as these young leaders continue their journey toward college, career, and community impact.
Altogether, 158 volunteers contributed more than 3,700 service hours, impacting over 7,700 lives across Atlanta, Charlotte, and Belize. These moments reflect what’s possible when leadership, service, and community come together.
Thank you for continuing to believe in and support the work of developing young Black leaders. We are honored to do this work alongside you.
With gratitude,
John & Tammy Martin, Founders

Thanks to the generous support of donors and partners like you, YBLA staff, Ambassadors, and YoPros were able to serve communities in Atlanta, Charlotte, and Belize this quarter. In Atlanta, your support helped us pack meals for the unhoused. In Charlotte, it enabled us to sort and donate essential items at Crisis Assistance Ministry. In Belize, your contributions made it possible to distribute shoes, deliver food, paint homes, complete our third home build, set up a computer lab, and speak at a girls’ empowerment conference. These meaningful efforts reflect the power of your continued investment in YBLA’s mission of service and leadership.

YBLA Days of Impact
YBLA Sr. Ambassadors, parents, staff, and community members were able to come together to serve students and families across Atlanta and Charlotte. Your support helped stock the SAFE Center pantry at Banneker High School with essential food, clothing, toiletries, and shoes.
That same generosity made it possible to distribute school supplies and toiletries to students and families at Harding University High School in Charlotte. Thanks to you, students in both communities were met with care, dignity, and the resources they needed to start the school year strong.
Blazer Ceremony
YBLA hosted its annual Blazer Ceremony in Charlotte and Atlanta, celebrating the transition of Jr. Ambassadors into Sr. Ambassadors.
This milestone marks a deeper commitment to leadership, service, and personal growth as these students continue their journey toward becoming world-changing leaders.

YBLA Serves Belize
This quarter, YBLA concluded our 2025 Belize service trips, during which Jr. Ambassadors and staff served communities through hands-on acts of care and connection. Throughout the experience, participants washed feet, distributed shoes, supported a home build alongside the BTP Emerging Professionals, hosted community block parties, delivered groceries during home visits, and gifted individuals and communities through monetary Legacy Awards.
