SUMMER 2025 | CENTRAL AMERICA

Belize

YBLA Ambassadors and our Black Talent Pipeline have served Belize for the past three summers. We worked with God Cares Outreach and Samaritan's Feet to help build our third Belizean home, distribute shoes, deliver food, and engage with locals.

Investing in Local Leaders

Beyond Construction

Service in Action

Supporting Families

Pastor Frederick and his wife were living in unlivable conditions and facing an uncertain future. After learning their full story, we decided to bless them with a home—an investment in leaders who are already changing lives in their community.

Contributions helped Ms. Heydi, a single mother and recipient of our 2024 House Build #2, gain access to electricity and vital medication, supported a family of nine in creating a safer home environment, and provided furnishings for Pastor Fredrick's new home.

Additional service included setting up a computer lab, painting classrooms and fences, hosting a vibrant block party, and speaking at an all-girls conference with over 80 participants.

This year's impact goes beyond

construction. Ambassadors led initiatives to support families and uplift local leaders through our Legacy Awards, providing over $1,600 in direct support.

"Service is seeing joy firsthand.

Watching her excitement over a new pair of shoes reminded me that small acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact."

“I wrote this verse on the home as a reminder of protection, peace, and purpose.

My prayer is that this family walks in and out of this home covered and able to thrive.”

This moment shifted my perspective.

The love, strength, and stories I encountered reminded me to live with more gratitude, purpose, and heart.”
