The YBLA Ambassador Program is the opportunity for you. We have limited space in our leadership development and community impact program and we want you! As a YBLA Ambassador, you will learn advanced leadership skills, college and career preparedness and gain access to exclusive development opportunities. If you believe you have what it takes to be Charlotte’s top young leader, come try out for one of our leadership teams.
Students must:

Be a young black male or female in grades 9 - 11
-
9th grade students must have been on A/B honor roll in the 8th grade

10th & 11th grade students must have a minimum, cumulative, weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher
-
Sign up to try out for a team

Be available to meet on a weekly basis plus some weekends
Ambassador Program
The Ambassador program begins in high school. Ambassadors are the most elite student leaders who serve as role models for their peers and change agents in their communities.
Students in this program will be trained in the 21st Century skills, servant leadership and community service. Our students also receive advance training opportunities such as 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens and certifications in Toastmasters and BB&T Emerging Leaders Program.
This program is for students who want to create impact now and in the future. We believe in the endless possibilities in every young leader. Our program helps bring those possibilities to life.
